1. Who We Are

SCI Lighting is an online lighting store. The store is operated by AETERNUM ECOM LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. In these Terms, "SCI Lighting", "we", "us" and "our" mean AETERNUM ECOM LLC and the SCI Lighting store at sci-lighting.com, and "you" means anyone who visits the website or buys from it.

SCI Lighting is the seller of the products on this website. Orders are prepared and shipped to you by our fulfillment partners, so your package may arrive from a partner warehouse rather than from our business address. We remain responsible to you for your order, and all questions, claims and returns are handled by SCI Lighting Customer Support.

2. Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service and to the policies they refer to: our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and Shipping Policy. Together they form the agreement between you and us. If you do not agree to all of them, you may not use the website or buy from us.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to place an order. If you are younger, you may use the website only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. We deliver only to the 48 contiguous United States and Washington, D.C., as described in our Shipping Policy. By placing an order, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

4. Products and Descriptions

We try to describe and photograph our lighting products as accurately as we can. Please note:

• Colors may look different on your screen than in person, because every display is different.
• Dimensions on product pages are shown in inches. Small differences from the listed size can occur.
• Before you buy, check the voltage, wattage, bulb type, finish and dimensions listed on the product page to make sure the product fits your space and your electrical setup.
• Light output and appearance depend on the room, the bulbs used and the surfaces around the fixture, so we cannot promise a specific result in your home.

We may update, change or discontinue any product at any time without notice.

5. Prices and Availability

All prices are shown in US dollars. Prices and availability may change without notice, but the price you see when you place your order is the price you pay for that order. Applicable taxes and shipping charges are shown at checkout before you confirm your payment.

Errors can happen. If a product is listed at the wrong price or with wrong information, or is not available, we may correct the error and, before shipping, cancel the affected order and refund you in full.

6. Orders and Order Acceptance

When you place an order, you make an offer to buy. You will receive an order confirmation email, but that email is not our acceptance. A contract is formed when we ship your order and send you shipping confirmation.

• Right to refuse or cancel: we may refuse, limit or cancel an order, for example because of stock problems, pricing or description errors, suspected fraud, or orders that appear to be placed by resellers. If we cancel an order that you already paid for, we refund you in full.
• Accurate information: you agree to provide a correct name, email address, phone number, delivery address and payment details. We are not responsible for orders delayed or lost because of incorrect information you provided.
• Cancelling your order: you may cancel an order before it ships, as described in our Refund Policy.

7. Payment

You can pay with the payment methods shown at checkout. Payments are processed in US dollars by our payment providers, and we do not see or store your full card number. By placing an order, you confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method you provide, and you authorize us to charge it for the total of your order, including taxes and shipping.

We may run fraud checks and may hold or cancel an order if the payment cannot be verified. If you see a charge you do not recognize or have a problem with your payment, please contact us first. We can usually resolve it faster than a bank dispute.

8. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping costs, processing times, delivery times and carriers are described in our Shipping Policy. Delivery dates shown on the website or in emails are estimates and are not guaranteed. Delays can be caused by carriers, customs, weather and other events outside our control.

Risk of loss or damage to the products passes to you when the carrier delivers them to the address you gave us. If your order never arrives or arrives damaged, we will handle it as described in our Refund Policy.

9. Returns, Refunds and Warranty

Returns, refunds and our 12-month limited warranty are governed by our Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms. In short, you have 30 days from delivery to request a return of an eligible item, and every return must be approved by us before you send anything back.

10. Safe Use and Installation

Lighting products are electrical products. To use them safely:

• Read and follow the instructions that come with the product.
• Have hardwired fixtures installed by a licensed electrician, and make sure the installation meets your local electrical codes.
• Switch off the power at the circuit breaker before installing, changing or cleaning a fixture.
• Use only bulbs and power sources that match the specifications listed for the product.

You are responsible for choosing a product that is suitable for your space and for installing and using it correctly. Damage caused by incorrect installation or use is not covered by our warranty.

11. Intellectual Property

The SCI Lighting name, logo, website design, text, photographs, graphics and other content on this website belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and print content for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell or exploit any content without our written permission.

12. Reviews, Comments and Feedback

If you send us reviews, comments, photos, suggestions or other material, you confirm that it is yours to share and that it does not break the law or anyone else's rights. You give us a free, worldwide and permanent right to use, edit, publish and display it in connection with our business. We are not obliged to keep it confidential, pay for it or respond to it. We may remove any content that we consider unlawful, offensive, misleading or in breach of these Terms.

13. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use our website:

• for any unlawful purpose, or to encourage others to break the law;
• to infringe our intellectual property rights or those of others;
• to harass, abuse, threaten or discriminate against anyone;

16. Disclaimer of Warranties

We work to keep the website available and accurate, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors. Except for the express limited warranty in our Refund Policy and any rights you have that cannot be excluded by law, the website and our products are provided "as is" and "as available", and we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent the law allows. Some states do not allow limits on implied warranties, so this may not fully apply to you.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SCI Lighting, AETERNUM ECOM LLC and our members, managers, employees, agents, suppliers and fulfillment partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or loss of use, arising from your use of the website or our products. Our total liability to you for any claim related to an order will not exceed the amount you paid for the product that gave rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so these limits may not fully apply to you.

18. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold harmless SCI Lighting, AETERNUM ECOM LLC and our members, managers, employees, agents and partners from any claim, loss or expense, including reasonable attorneys' fees, brought by a third party because of your breach of these Terms, your violation of the law, or your violation of anyone else's rights.

19. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict of law rules. If you have a problem, please contact us first so we can try to solve it informally. If we cannot resolve it within 30 days, any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction, except where the law of your state gives you the right to bring a claim in your home state.

20. General Terms

• Entire agreement: these Terms and the policies they refer to are the entire agreement between you and us about the website and your orders, and replace any earlier agreements.
• Severability: if a part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
• No waiver: if we do not enforce a right or provision, we do not give it up.
• Assignment: you may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours, for example in a sale of our business.
• Events beyond our control: we are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, carrier disruptions, strikes or government actions.
• Headings: headings are for convenience only and do not affect the meaning of these Terms.

21. Termination

You may stop using the website at any time. We may suspend or end your access, or cancel your orders, if you breach these Terms or if we suspect fraud or misuse. Sections that by their nature should continue after termination, including payment obligations, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification and governing law, will continue to apply.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date above. Changes apply to orders placed after the update. By continuing to use the website after changes are posted, you accept the updated Terms.
